How we choose our ingredients
Quality is the priority
At Tasty Scents Co., a lot of research happens behind the scenes before a product hits the shelves (or virtual ones, in this case).
When formulating a new product, we research and analyze each ingredient that should go into the formula to make sure it’ll perform as envisioned. That is followed by tests and some tweaking, until we obtain the finished product that you see on this website.
We keep the bar really high about the resources we use, and try to incorporate as many natural ingredients as we can in each item we design. After all, Mother Nature has gifted us some incredible ingredients that can work wonders for us.
However, sometimes we can’t create a “perfect product” by using solely natural ingredients. The good news is that Scientists all over the world work hard every day trying to research and create products that can perform well and still be safe for our bodies.
The few synthetic ingredients we do use in our products are all safe, well-researched and provide remarkable benefits to our cosmetics.

A few facts about our products
- They're made of real, pure soap derived from the saponification of coconut oil, sustainably-sourced palm oil and safflower oil
- Synthetic detergent-free = no harsh-on-the-skin sulfates
- Infused with skin-loving jojoba oil and oat protein. Plus, goat’s milk, shea butter, aloe vera, honey or oatmeal, depending on the bar
- Due to their ingredients, they make a creamy lather, with smaller bubbles than store-bought soaps. Don’t worry! They have amazing cleansing power, while still being gentle on the skin
- We take pride to say that our products are made only with high quality ingredients. Unfortunately, with extremely sensitive skin, allergic reactions are still possible. Stop use in case of sensitivity
Make your soap last longer
Our soaps are full of high quality ingredients. For example, they have an extra dose of kosher, vegetable-derived glycerin in them, and it adds moisture and hydration to the skin.
Besides being a natural humectant, glycerin also has antimicrobial and antiviral properties, and is widely used in cosmetics, pharmaceuticals and even in the food industry.
Because it attracts water, it’s important to keep your soap dry in between uses so they can last longer. Storing your bar on a dry soap dish can help with that.
If you don’t have much room to fit a soap dish in your shower, another great option is to have your soap on a rope! You can hang your bar in a dry place in the shower after you’re done. You can also wrap the rope around your wrist to prevent it from falling during use.
